Oh this is fun!

I had to post one more video of Elyas rolling over. It is just too cute!

I am such a big boy!

Check out the big accomplishment!

It has been an eventful day--after waiting and wondering when it was going to happen again, he has rolled over at least 20 times today!!! Elyas rolled over for the first time at 2 & 1/2 months then did again when he was 3 months, then a couple more times at 4 months, and finally now that he is 5 months old he has decided that he truly understands how to get off his dreadful tummy.

Night of Freedom

First, let me start off by saying how much I LOVE this little guy. He is the love of my life (in addition to Jason of course). Second, let me say how much I enjoyed a Saturday night of FREEDOM!!! My mom and niece came and stayed the weekend w/ us and gave us a much-deserved night out to ourselves. Jason took me to my favorite restaurant (Sophie's Bistro) and then we hung out at Mike & Sarah's after dinner. It was so nice to have a relaxing dinner and be able to sit and converse w/ one another. Thanks Mom!

Friends/Family: Please know that any time you need your baby fix, we are only a phone call away. We would love to give you a night w/ our sweet, adorable baby boy. Bobbi, I promise he is easier than he was a month ago...although he is a little messier considering that he now eats baby food!

So Many "Firsts"

Elyas has now officially celebrated his first Christmas, his first New Year's, and the biggest event of the year, his first tasting of real food! We thought we would start off the first day of the new year w/ some yummy cereal for breakfast. He seemed to really dig it. I took him to the pediatrician this week for his 4-month check up and he weighed 16 pounds/12 ounces and was 27 inches long. The doctor said it was time to start feeding the little guy some solid foods. We'll have cereal for a month or two then start some veggies. Here are some shots of his first experience in his high chair:

Before the holidays he had a visit from his cousin, Ella. They hung out for the afternoon and had a great time chillin' together. His cousin, Madeline, also stopped in for a visit the week of Christmas. She stayed w/ us for 3 nights and we had a blast. Madeline helped me out soooo much. She changed some diapers, she helped give him a bath, she rocked him, she played w/ him, and best of all, she made him giggle like he has never giggled before. It was the best!

He loves Madeline so much!

We went to my sister, Shannon's, for our annual Christmas Eve dinner. We all had a great time. Jalen loves holding Elyas too!
Ella came in looking like a movie star!
We spent the night at my mom's on Christmas Eve and my sister, Laura, and her daughter, Ella, stayed there too which made it even more fun on Christmas morning. Here is a shot of Ella helping Elyas w/ his presents from Santa.

"I love my daddy!"

"Ok, Elyas, I'm seriously over you always leaning on me! Could you please learn how to sit up??!!"And here are some shots from our Christmas dinner at my dad's house.

"Thank you Nana and Du for my little red wagon. I love it!!!"
"And of course thank you to everyone else for all my other presents. I love my jammies, new clothes, frog backpack, books, toys, teddy bear, ornaments, and all the other goodies I received from family and friends. This was a great first Christmas!"
And last, this picture was taken when we had dinner w/ our friends, Harmony and Rachel. They recently had a little girl who is now 6 weeks old. She is such a doll!

3-month-old photo session

Here are some shots we recently made in November when Elyas turned 3-months-old. We had a photographer (Rick Hawkins) come to our house for a photo session. The pictures turned out fabulous (of course I will admit that I'm a little bias!). These are a few of my favorites:
