So Many "Firsts"

Elyas has now officially celebrated his first Christmas, his first New Year's, and the biggest event of the year, his first tasting of real food! We thought we would start off the first day of the new year w/ some yummy cereal for breakfast. He seemed to really dig it. I took him to the pediatrician this week for his 4-month check up and he weighed 16 pounds/12 ounces and was 27 inches long. The doctor said it was time to start feeding the little guy some solid foods. We'll have cereal for a month or two then start some veggies. Before the holidays he had a visit from his cousin, Ella. They hung out for the afternoon and had a great time chillin' together. His cousin, Madeline, also stopped in for a visit the week of Christmas. She stayed w/ us for 3 nights and we had a blast. Madeline helped me out soooo much. She changed some diapers, she helped give him a bath, she rocked him, she played w/ him, and best of all, she made him giggle like he has never giggled before. It was the best!

We went to my sister, Shannon's, for our annual Christmas Eve dinner. We all had a great time. Jalen loves holding Elyas too!

Ella came in looking like a movie star!

We spent the night at my mom's on Christmas Eve and my sister, Laura, and her daughter, Ella, stayed there too which made it even more fun on Christmas morning. Here is a shot of Ella helping Elyas w/ his presents from Santa.

And last, this picture was taken when we had dinner w/ our friends, Harmony and Rachel. They recently had a little girl who is now 6 weeks old. She is such a doll!
