We've had a blast these past couple of days. It's great to be snowed in when you have good neighbors who also happen to be good friends. Yesterday Townes and Elyas had some fun playtime outside, although they both took a nose dive several times. I made chicken noodle soup and we all hung out, ate some good food, and chilled by the fire. We did exactly what you are supposed to do when it snows (well except build a snowman--that may happen tomorrow)!

Today we went sledding and had a blast. We were able to use the wagon for transporting Elyas to the good streets w/ sledding potential. Unfortunately we didn't have a sled, but our neighborhood is full of very nice people who were willing to share.
A little video coverage of Elyas' first sledding experience.
After sledding, the picture below captures how Elyas felt. It was the funniest thing. For the rest of the time, he wanted to lie down in the wagon and let us pull him around. Considering that he RARELY chills and does nothing, we could not stop laughing about it.
We'll see what tomorrow brings. Probably more cooking (we've been on a roll these past 2 days...homeade chicken noodle soup, blueberry pancakes, banana bread, lasagna for dinner tonight...hmmmm...trying to figure out what I can make tomorrow, I think oatmeal raisin cookies are on the agenda). Happy winter everyone. Until next time, Ciao!
